Business Continuity Planning / Disaster Recovery Services
Ixilix understands the necessity and demands of systems being available anywhere at anytime. Whether it is a natural disaster, changes in business plans or compliance regulations, Ixilix customizes solutions to work with the varying needs of our customers. At Ixilix, we provide advisory support to guide you through the planning process. We understand that the same approach does not work for every customer and we will work with you to explore all of the options available so that you have the optimal approach based on your business needs and budget.
With the advent of mainstream virtualization and asynchronous data replication methods, disaster recovery and business continuity are very affordable even for small- and medium-sized businesses. Ixilix is a leader in these new methods.
Key Considerations:
- Risk Analysis
- Desired Recovery Time Objective (RTO) or Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
- Data change rate and bandwidth requirements
- Virtualization
- Application Performance Profiling at the DR Site
Where Do I Start?
Often figuring out where to start is the most difficult step in building a disaster recovery plan. Ixilix understands this frustration and has developed a standardized technique to evaluate and recommend optimal disaster recovery solutions. Ixilix will perform a Business Impact Analysis. As part of the Business Impact Analysis, we will work with your organization to:
• Assess the threats, vulnerabilities and exposure to loss as key considerations in the disaster recovery
plan.
• Ensure integration of disaster recover plans with business continuity programs to provide consistency
with business needs and priorities.
• Evaluate business processes to determine:
• Maximum Tolerable Downtime (MTD) - How long can you operate without the business
process before it impacts the survival of your organization?
• Recovery Time Objective (RTO) - How long can you wait for each indivdual business
process to be back online?
• Recovery Point Objective (RPO) - How update-to-date does the data need to be? Can
data be restored from a week, day or minute ago? Or must it be real time?
